Tak & The Power of Juju is a 2007 animated series that aired on Nickelodeon and Nicktoons. The show is based on the video game series of the same name.

Tak, a shaman apprentice, uses magic to take short cuts in his responsibilities.

Why It Sucked

  1. Hideous CGI animation.
  2. Nightmarish character designs.
  3. Bad voice acting.
  4. Very poor grasp of the source material. For example, Lok (the Patrick Warburton voiced character) was originally Tak's sidekick in the games; but in the show, he's a bully and the main villain of the show.
  5. The theme song, while catchy in terms of the beat, is just the words 'Tak And The Power Of Juju' said over and over again, similar to The Nutshack.
  6. Boring stories.
  7. The antagonist always wins at the end, which is ridiculous.
  8. The show was partly responsible for killing the franchise for good.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. The games the series is based off are actually good.
  2. The show is hard to find nowadays, and the only way to get it now is through Amazon Video, so people won't have to watch the show at all due to it's rarity.
